Episode 15: No Code, Bad English — Aubzhang Built a Whole Independent Site with Screenshots + AI

2026-10-29 · Aubzhang · Episode 15 of 16

Plenty of friends have asked privately: where do you actually publish those little AI tools and those practical articles? The WeChat channel always feels limited. Is there somewhere that collects everything?

Truth is, Aubzhang has wanted his own independent site for a long time, a place to share the AI products he builds. But for various reasons (mostly the technical barrier), he never found the right solution. It got postponed until now. These past few days he finally got aubzhang.com standing, using a hick method.

Today, Aubzhang comes clean about that build from zero.

Choosing a Stack: Why Cloudflare?

Before touching anything, Aubzhang did his research. The market is full of site-building options. In the end he fixed on Cloudflare.

The Cloudflare homepage.

One clarification: he picked it because his need right now is a purely static site — no complex database, no real-time data interaction. On that premise, Cloudflare's offering fits him best.

Of course, if his products later need complex data interaction or a backend system, he'll have to pick a different online solution. But for a pure showcase site, this one is stable enough and good enough.

The Hick Method: Bad English, and Cloudflare Anyway

Decision made, Aubzhang opened the Cloudflare dashboard and froze. All-English interface, technical jargon everywhere. He doesn't understand it, and his English is genuinely not great.

In the past he might have given up. But now there's AI, so he used the hickest and most effective method available:

He screenshotted the Cloudflare interface, sent it straight to DeepSeek, and had it translate. More than that, he asked step by step: "Where do I click next?" "How do I bind a domain?" "How do I test?"

Just like that, with DeepSeek as an always-online technical translator and guide, Aubzhang stumbled his way through the foundational setup and chewed through the part he was least sure about.

The Main Event: Code in One Hand, Supervision in the Other

Infrastructure handled. But what should the site look like, and how does the code get written? Aubzhang still doesn't know.

This is where the four-quadrant workflow paid off massively again. Look at his screen during the build:

The requirement he gave WorkBuddy was simple and pure: minimal, no flashy frameworks, use Aubzhang Blue consistently. Once written, push the code up through Cloudflare, and a rough site appeared.

The Result: Aubzhang's Digital Base

A few days of fiddling, and seeing the site live felt good. Search aubzhang.com in any browser and look. Here's what it is:

Given his two core needs, all the functionality is concentrated in two blocks:

  1. Showcase AI products: Wanci Zilaiye and AubSkip, both here, one tap to download.
  2. Showcase practical articles: every review and pit-avoidance write-up, ordered newest first.

A few extras thrown in along the way:

Best part: whether you open it from WeChat, a desktop browser, or a phone browser, it adapts perfectly. Reading experience is excellent.

Final Thoughts

Aubzhang did the math: apart from a few dozen yuan for the domain, the entire thing was free.

He used to think "building a site" was work only technical people could do, with an enormous barrier. Walking through it this time, he found that if you want it, AI really can flatten that barrier. No English needed, no code needed. If you can screenshot and you can ask questions, you can build your own base.

Everyone with a dream deserves their own personal website. Aubzhang could do it. You definitely can.
